Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the FarmHop: Local Farms Nearby app for iPhone and iPad, the Android app (package name farm.hop.app), and the website at farmhop.farm, including the farmer portal (together, the “Service”). The Service is made by PixelPort LLC (“we”, “us”), 7901 4th St N, Ste 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, which is responsible for your information. The apps are offered as a freemium service, “as is”.

Unless a section says “iOS only”, “Android only” or “website”, it applies everywhere.

When you use the Service we receive:

• your device’s IP address;
• the screens or pages you visit, when, and for how long;
• your operating system, browser and device model;
• analytics events describing how you use the Service, for example which screens you open and which searches you run.

We may use information you give us to contact you with important information, required notices and, occasionally, promotions.

You can use the apps without an account. In that case the app signs you in with an anonymous Firebase account that has no name or email attached.

If you choose to sign in with Google (Android, iOS and the website), Apple (iOS) or Facebook (website), we receive your name and email address from that provider. On the website you can also sign in with an email address and password; the password is handled by Firebase Authentication and never stored by us. We keep your name and email with your account so we can show who wrote a review, let you manage a farm listing, and contact you about your orders or listing.

When you use these features, we store what you send us:

• Reviews, ratings, photos and reports about a farm. Reviews and photos are public and appear on the farm’s page.
• Order requests. The farm you order from receives your name, the phone number you enter, your pickup note and the items you requested, so it can prepare and confirm your order. We do not process payments for orders.
• Farm submissions and corrections, such as a new farm, opening hours or a fix.
• If you are a farmer: your claim of a farm listing, the information you give us to verify that you run the farm, and the photos, products, posts and replies you publish.
• Feedback, support messages and account-deletion requests you send us.

Photos you upload are stored with Cloudflare R2. On Android, photos are chosen with the system photo picker, so the app never gets access to the rest of your photo library.

The core purpose of FarmHop is finding verified farms, farm stands and farmers markets near you, so the apps use your device’s location if you allow it, to show nearby farms and how far away they are. On Android you can share only your approximate location and the app works with either. You can always search by city or ZIP code instead.

• The apps use location only while you are using them. They never ask for background location on Android or “Always” access on iOS. The website does not ask for your location.
• Location is sent to our servers only as the coordinates needed to return nearby results.
• If you turn on notifications, we store your chosen area (a point and a radius) so we can tell you about new farms and deals there.
• Your location is never sold or shared for advertising.

You can turn off location access at any time in your device Settings.

We use PostHog (US cloud) for product analytics in the apps and on the website. PostHog receives the analytics events described above, a random identifier, and your IP address, which PostHog may use to estimate your approximate location (city, region and country). If you sign in, analytics are linked to your account ID only. We never send your name, email address or phone number to PostHog, and analytics are not used for advertising.

On the website we do not record what you type, do not record sessions, and respect your browser’s Do Not Track setting.

The Android app uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect a report when the app crashes or hits an error: the stack trace, device model, operating system and app version, the time, and a Firebase installation identifier. The only account information attached is your Firebase account ID, never your name or email. We use crash reports only to find and fix bugs.

None of the identifiers we use is an advertising identifier:

• On Android, the Android ID (a value unique to this app on your device), or a random ID if it is unavailable; on iOS, the identifier for vendor. We use it as an anonymous device ID to count farm page views and visits in aggregate for farmers, and to group your feedback messages.
• A Firebase installation ID, used by Cloud Messaging, App Check and Crashlytics.
• A random RevenueCat app user ID, used to keep track of your subscription.
• A random PostHog ID, used for analytics as described above.

The Android app does not collect the Google advertising ID and has no advertising or ad-attribution SDKs.

• No advertising or tracking cookies. If you browse without signing in, analytics keep their random ID in memory only, so nothing is stored on your device. Once you sign in to the farmer portal, your browser’s storage keeps you signed in and holds the analytics ID.
• To show farmers how often their listing is seen, the website counts farm page views and how often a farm appears in a list, using a random ID that lasts only for your browser session and is never linked to you.
• Forms that could be abused, such as sign-in and account deletion, are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser for signs of automation.

To protect our servers from abuse, the apps use Firebase App Check, which relies on Google Play Integrity on Android and Apple App Attest on iOS to confirm that requests come from a genuine copy of the app.

On iOS, we may measure which advertising campaigns bring new people to FarmHop. If you allow tracking when asked (App Tracking Transparency), the app and its advertising partners may access your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) to attribute installs and events to a campaign. If you don’t, attribution still works through Apple’s privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork, which does not use your advertising identifier. None of this applies to the Android app or the website.

The apps offer an optional auto-renewing subscription, FarmHop Premium, which may include a free trial. On iOS it is processed by Apple through the App Store; on Android by Google through Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your payment card details. Subscription status and purchase history (product, price, purchase and renewal dates, and store transaction IDs) are managed for us by RevenueCat under a random app user ID.

If you turn on notifications, the apps may alert you about new farms, back-in-stock produce, deals, order updates and a weekend digest of open farms near you. To deliver them we store a push token for your device (from Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android or Apple Push Notification service on iOS) with your chosen area and notification settings. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device Settings. Tokens for devices that haven’t opened the app in a long time are deactivated.

The apps use the camera only when you choose to scan a farm’s booth QR code to confirm the farm is open. The image is processed on your device and is never stored or sent to us.

These companies process data on our behalf to run the Service. Each has its own privacy policy, linked below.

Beyond the farm you send an order request to and the providers above, we share personal information only:

• as required by law, for example to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
• when we believe in good faith that it is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
• with trusted service providers who work on our behalf, have no independent use of the information, and have agreed to follow this policy.

Only aggregated, anonymized data leaves us for any other purpose. We do not sell personal information.

You can stop all collection by the apps by uninstalling them. You can also decline location access, decline tracking (iOS) and turn off notifications in your device Settings while still using FarmHop. To see, correct or remove information we hold about you, email [email protected].

You can use FarmHop without an account. If you signed in, you can delete your account and its data at any time:

• In the app (iOS and Android): open the Account tab, tap Delete account, and confirm.
• Without the app: request deletion on our website, or email [email protected] from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my FarmHop account”.

Deleting your account permanently removes your sign-in account, your name, email address and phone number, your saved farms and watchlists, your order requests, your push tokens and saved area, and your farm ownership claims (the farm listing itself stays public). Reviews, photos and farm corrections you contributed stay on the farm’s public page but are detached from you and show no name. Feedback messages are kept without any link to you. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in your Google Play or Apple ID subscription settings. Requests made on the website or by email are completed within 30 days.

We keep information only as long as we need it:

FarmHop is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them or market to them. If we learn that a child under 13 has given us personal information, we delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we will remove it.

We use physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the information we process. All communication with our servers is encrypted in transit with TLS.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Please check back regularly; continuing to use FarmHop means you accept the changes. This policy is effective as of October 3, 2026.

By using FarmHop, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this policy, now and as amended.
