Florida farms don't run on the calendar most people expect. The big harvest window here is October through May — cool, dry, disease-light — so many row-crop stands go quiet or drop to weekend hours once summer heat and afternoon rain set in. What doesn't quit is the tropical fruit: mango, lychee, avocado, and the citrus groves that define whole stretches of the state.

Farms — not markets — are the most common kind of listing in Florida, with an unusually strong agritourism scene for a state this size: u-pick strawberries around Plant City, corn mazes and fall festivals inland, and citrus stands along the old highway routes. Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando and Miami carry the deepest verified coverage.
